Watching the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade on New Year’s Day is a tradition.
Experience this parade in person and join Escapees for the 136th Tournament of Roses on January 1, 2025. This year’s theme is “Best Day Ever,” celebrating life’s best moments.
A hush falls over the crowd as the sun peeks over the horizon. Then, a distant rumble of music stirs the anticipation. Suddenly, around the corner, a massive masterpiece of blooms appears towering high above the street. Gasps of awe erupt as the first award-winning float glides into view, a kaleidoscope of color and imagination.
Each float is a world unto itself, a testament to artistry and meticulous craftsmanship.
Mythical creatures emerge from clouds of roses; historical figures come alive adorned in flowers, and vibrant petals roll out across the expanse of the float. Enjoy the aromatic flowers and the rich smell of cocoa and coffee beans.
Experience the behind-the-scenes magic at the legendary Pasadena Tournament of Roses, something you will not see on television. Learn how these beautiful, award-winning floats are created and decorated!
In a VIP setting, relax and enjoy Equestfest. Admire the beautiful horses outfitted in stunning parade attire. Watch talented riders perform trick riding, precision drills, and amazing rope tricks. It’s a reminder of the deep connection we share with these incredible creatures and the joy that unfolds when humans and horses work together in perfect harmony.
Visit the stables and learn about the different breeds of horses. Get up close. Talk with the riders and take pictures; enjoy the vendors, the music and the food!
During BandFest, bands from around the world march in musical harmony! Imagine a global stage, not built of wood and canvas but of shared passion and cultural exchange of beautiful music. Bands from around the globe take center stage, each a vibrant splash of color and tradition. Quickly see why these outstanding bands have been chosen to participate in this year’s Tournament of Roses Parade.
FloatFest offers a more relaxed and accessible way to experience the floats. You can walk at your own pace, see the meticulous artistry that went into each float, take photos and chat with volunteers who can share details about each float.
Escapees has a wonderful time lined up for you, so expect a fun-filled week!

What to expect on this HOP:
- considerable walking, some on uneven terrain
- must be able to board/disembark passenger bus
- must be able to climb stairs – for example, football stands

*Note: This itinerary may still be amended without notice. We do our best to secure all activities ahead of time, but when dealing with the weather, traffic, length of tour, and our local vendors’ changes, they are sometimes necessary.

- If you or a family member has a pre-existing medical condition, consider purchasing trip cancellation or interruption insurance.

HOP Cancellation Policy
Cancellations 60+ days prior to the event:
You may cancel your registration for a full refund minus a 10% fee of the entire cost of the HOP any time before 11:59 pm CDT on Friday, October 25, 2024. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to registration@escapees.com
Cancellations 59-30 days prior to the event:
You may cancel your registration for a 50% refund of the entire cost of the HOP before 11:59 pm CDT on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to registration@escapees.com
No refunds will be given for cancellations after 11:59 pm CST on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. All ticket sales are final.

By registering for this event, you are agreeing to the following:
- As an attendee, you assume all risk and danger relating to your personal property, RV, and attendance at the event, whether before, during, or after. No claim will be made upon Escapees, its volunteers, employees, or agents in the event of loss or theft.
- Volunteers may be directing and assisting you in your parking areas. However, the vehicle’s driver is ultimately responsible for avoiding obstacles or dangerous situations and is solely responsible for any damage to one’s property or the property of others.
- As an attendee at this event, you are granting permission to be filmed, videotaped, audiotaped, or photographed, and you are granting Escapees RV Club the full use of any such recordings or images without compensation.
- By registering, you will also receive occasional email notifications of future HOPs; however, you can opt out of these notifications at any time.
- In addition to the above, you will be required during registration to agree that you will help provide a safe environment for everyone by complying with our health and safety rules and to release Escapees from liability should you become ill during the event.
