We nicknamed this Hangout “Elements of Oregon” for the stunning views everywhere you look. Stretching from the border with California to the iconic Bandon Beach, this region boasts a coastline marked by dramatic sea stacks, pristine sandy shores, enchanting tide pools, and coastal redwood forests. Brookings will be our haven for seven days of outdoor adventures, with opportunities for hiking, kayaking, fishing, and exploring the Samuel H. Boardman Scenic Corridor’s stunning cliffs and hidden coves. You’ll have a unique experience walking the beach labyrinth of Circles in the Sand in Bandon. You’ll explore quaint coastal towns like Brookings and Gold Beach, each offering unique charm, fresh seafood, and welcoming communities.
Please note: With so many remarkable sites to see along the coastline, we have multiple days of scenic driving time. The time you spend behind the wheel is not merely a means to an end but an integral part of exploring the Southern Oregon Coast.

Historic Mail Route Jet Boat Experience the thrill of jet boating while touring the first Rogue River Mail delivery route started in 1895. Back then, road access did not exist. Ride one of the few remaining Mail Boats in the nation, which still delivers mail daily 32 miles upriver! No whitewater here. Just a beautiful day on the Rogue River sightseeing, spotting wildlife and sharing amazing history.
Trees of Mystery is nestled in the lush forests of northern California. You’ll explore this captivating natural attraction that beckons you with its towering redwoods and mystical ambiance. A highlight is the Sky Trail, a scenic gondola ride that elevates you through the towering canopy of ancient redwood trees. And, you’ll be greeted by the colossal figures of Paul Bunyan and his trusty blue ox, Babe, an extra treat!
Circles in the Sand Feel the powerful intentions of love, joy and kindness. With the beach as a fresh canvas, a labyrinth design is drawn freehand. The path unfolds organically as you walk one continuous path with no dead ends or wrong turns. A Dedication Circle, separate from the labyrinth, is usually available for walkers to write their name or dedicate their walk to someone by inscribing their name in the sand.
Harris Beach State Park Explore miles of sandy beaches with rocky outcroppings and trails. Enjoy easy to intermediate hiking, beachside picnicking, view Bird Island (also called Goat Island), a National Wildlife Sanctuary and breeding site for such rare birds as the tufted puffin. Watch gray whales on their winter and spring migrations, harbor seals, California sea lions, sea birds and the rich marine gardens.
Hangout location
AtRivers Edge RV Resort is located along the beautiful southern Oregon coast, minutes from Brookings and the Pacific Ocean. You’ll be tucked away on the banks of the Chetco River, a gateway to the Wild and Scenic Region and the Kalmiopsis wilderness. Enjoy private river access for paddling and fishing, wooded surroundings and close proximity to pristine ocean beaches and nature trails.
We have reserved 30 great RV sites for this Hangout and tickets may go quickly—so please don’t wait to register!
Is this event right for me?
Every member is welcome at all Escapees RV Club events and every activity is optional. With that said, this Hangout is best suited for members who:
- enjoy walking, kayaking and hiking for several miles
- can participate in activities during weekdays (traditional working/business hours)
- have transportation if carpooling can not be arranged
- interested in scenic drives up to 1.5 hours each way
- are not bothered by fluctuations in weather
For events designed specifically for working-age RVers, with most activities in the evenings and on weekends, try an Xscapers Convergence.
Or, for more of an all-inclusive, guided-tour experience, you may prefer one of our Head-Out Programs (HOPs).
Pet Owners
We love our pets and try to select pet-friendly activities and venues so your pet can come along. But, it’s not always possible. Several activities during this Hangout may require you to be away from your pet for the day. We recommend making advanced care arrangements for your pet. Many Hangout attendees have used www.rover.com.

Escapees RV Club Membership
You must be an Escapees RV Club member to attend this event. If you are not currently a member, you will be able to add a new membership during the registration process.
By registering for this Hangout, you are representing and agreeing to the following:
- You are physically capable of participating in the event.
- Your recreational vehicle, other vehicles, and any other equipment you may use to participate in the event will be in working condition.
- You will observe all applicable laws (including obtaining relevant licenses) and event rules and will conduct yourself in a safe and prudent manner while participating in the event.
- Although volunteers may be directing and assisting you to your parking area, it is the driver of the vehicle who is ultimately responsible for avoiding obstacles or dangerous situations and is solely responsible for any damage to your property or the property of others.
- You accept and assume all risks arising from participation in the event and waive and release all claims against Escapees or its affiliates relating to such participation.
- You consent to receive medical treatment deemed necessary if you are injured or require medical attention during your participation in the event and agree that you are solely responsible for all related costs.
- You grant your permission to be filmed, videotaped, audiotapes, or photographed and grant to Escapees full use thereof without compensation.
- You will receive occasional email notifications of future Escapees events; however, you can opt out of these notifications at any time.

We’re sorry, but this Hangout is currently sold out. If you’d still like to attend, please join the waiting list below. We’ll notify you if a spot opens up.
After you register
You’ll receive an email from registration@escapees.com with confirmation of your registration. If you don’t receive it, call Escapees Event Registration at (936) 329-6499 to ensure your registration was processed correctly.
After you register, please join the private Hangout group on Facebook (a link to this group will be in your confirmation email). We will use this Facebook group as our primary source of communication with Hangout attendees before and during the event.
You will receive a pre-arrival email about 30 days prior to the Hangout’s start date with details to help you plan for the Hangout.
Cancellations & Travel Insurance
If we must cancel the event, or your attendance at the event for any reason, including due to local health department restrictions, such as those restricting the size of gatherings, you will receive a full refund of your registration fees.
Should you need to cancel your registration, call Escapees Event Registration at (936) 329-6499 between 8 am and 4 pm Central Time, Monday through Friday, or email registration@escapees.com. You may be entitled to a partial refund of your registration fees, depending on when we receive your cancellation:
Cancellations 60+ days prior to the event: You may cancel your registration for a full refund, minus a $50 administrative fee any time before 11:59 p.m. Central Time on Friday May 31, 2024.
Cancellations 30-59 days prior to the event: You may cancel your registration for a 50% refund of purchase price before 11:59 p.m. Central Time on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
No refunds will be given for cancellations after 11:59 p.m. Central Time on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
All ticket sales on and after July 3, 2024 are final.
This cancellation policy is firm. There are no exceptions.
Travel Insurance
Things happen; we strongly recommend purchasing Travel Guard travel insurance from AIG after registering to protect your investment in the Hangout if you must cancel due to unexpected illness, death, or certain other contingencies. Travel insurance can help cover emergency medical and trip interruption expenses during the Hangout. Pre-existing medical conditions are waived if you purchase your insurance within 15 days after your Hangout registration fee payment.
Waiting list
If this Hangout is sold out when you try to register, please join the waiting list by completing the form below. If a spot opens up and you’re the next one on the waiting list, you’ll get another opportunity to register!
Spots that become available will be offered on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
Once you have been contacted about an available RV site, you will have 24 hours to register for the event before it is offered to the next person on the list. If you do not purchase your site in that time frame, your name will be removed from the list.
