On the following page, you will be prompted to enter your phone number and email address and then select an option between “Hold mail” or “Set a Mail Schedule”.

When you select “Set a Mail Schedule”, you will be prompted to enter in the mailing address you want it set to, choose a courier and shipping speed from USPS, UPS, or FedEx, and then select a mailing frequency and a date that you want it sent out.

Keep in mind that mail scheduling instructions take one business day to process.

The RV Parking options are listed at the top of the Member Directories page, followed by other member directories like Commercial Partners, Commercial Members, and more.

Let’s take a quick look at the different types of discount parks and camping options available to members.

Escapees RV Parks vs Escapees Co-Ops

Before we dive into the different RV parking and camping opportunities available to members, let’s differentiate between Escapees RV Parks and Escapees Co-Op Parks.

Escapees RV Parks are club-owned RV parks that are open to both members and non-members alike, and members get discounts on their stay.

SKP Co-Ops (or Escapees Co-Ops) are RV parks that were formed with the help of Escapees RV Club, but they are independently owned and operated by Escapees members. SKP Co-Ops are only open to Escapees members and each is operated differently, governed by its own elected board of directors.

Escapees RV Parks

There are currently eight Escapees RV Parks in operation in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Missouri, Tennessee, and Florida.

Most Escapees RV Parks have options like dry camping or full hookups, short-term RV parking, monthly RV parking, long-term leases, and some even have deeded lots.

Escapees SKP Co-Op Parks

There are 11 SKP Co-Ops in Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, New Mexico, Washington, Texas, and Florida.

The Co-Ops are owned and operated by members and campsites are only open to members, so you’ll be surrounded by fellow Escapees at each stay.

These parks are favored destinations among many members. Some even offer a first-timer’s special that provides discounts for your first stay. Check the specific park websites for availability and more detailed information.

Discount Park Directory

The Discount Park Directory is a directory of over 800 RV parks across the US, Canada, and Mexico. These parks are independently owned and have partnered with us to offer you discounts on camping. Discounts range from 15-50% depending on the campground.

Searching the Discount Park directory is simple, and you can also use Escapees Maps to plan a route that will show you all the discount parks along the way.

5.3. Escapees Maps: Our Exclusive RV Trip Planning Tool

The Escapees Maps tool is our exclusive discount park search tool and RV trip routing tool that will show you discount parks, commercial members, and overnight parking options around a specific location.

You can also plan your entire RV route with the Escapees Maps tool and search for discounted RV parks and campgrounds to stay along the way and save some money!

Try it out at member.escapees.com/map/

You must be logged in to your Escapees member account in order to use the mapping tool. If you’re not logged in, you won’t be able to see overnight parking options.

5.4. Exclusive Escapees Member Directories

Escapees Member Directories can be found by clicking the “Member Directories” menu item in your member dashboard.

Commercial Partners

Commercial Partners are the highest level of non-Escapees support services. These businesses provide critical services in support of the RVing lifestyle and have been carefully selected and vetted as among the best associations and providers in their field.

On the Commercial Partners page, you will find a list of all the Escapees Commercial Partners as well as the services they provide.

6. How to Get Connected With Your Escapees Community

The Escapees RV Club community is strong and growing larger every day. With over 70,000 members, the club has members from every interest and walk of life.

Because the membership is so large and varied, there are lifestyle communities within the Club of Escapees members with common interests that like to get together, have events, and make friends with like-minded people.

Here are the different types of groups within the Escapees RV Club community.

Escapees or SKPS: Everyone who joins Escapees RV Club is an Escapee or SKP. The greater Escapees community is full of all types of wonderful people who enjoy the RVing lifestyle.

Xscapers: The Xscapers lifestyle group was founded in 2015 and is currently the fastest-growing community within the Escapees RV Club today. Xscapers is currently 15,000 individuals strong and growing!

This community was created to be geared towards working-aged RVers with resources for those who are working and/or raising a family from the road. However, people of all ages and working status identify as Xscapers.

Xscapers is a community with a passion for an active and free-spirited life of travel and adventure that seek to escape the traditional pattern of a career, house, and accumulation of possessions in favor of a minimalistic and nomadic lifestyle that focuses on collecting experiences instead of things. And they know how to throw a party, too!

Since Xscapers is the largest and fastest-growing lifestyle group of Escapees RV Club, you can select to be an Xscaper in your member account and have the Xscapers badge displayed on your profile. However, any Escapees RV Club member is welcome to join and participate in any Xscapers events and meetups.

Birds of a Feather Groups (BOFs): The BoFs groups are groups that share lifestyle interests like boondocking, biking and hiking, boomers, solos, pet lovers, and more.

BoFs are member created and run and some of them are very active with their own newsletters, meetups, etc.

You can find a list of all BOFs here, with links for each BOF and how to get in contact with them.

Escapees Chapters: Chapters are volunteer member-led regional and social groups of Escapees members. There is no limit to the number of chapters you can join – whether you want to join chapters nearest to your home base or find chapters to meet up with as you travel, it’s up to you.

Chapter rallies take place throughout the US as well as in Canada and Mexico. Guests are always welcome!

You can find a list of current chapters and links here.

6.1. In Person Events and Rallies

The best way to connect with your fellow Escapees is to join in on the various in-person events and rallies that the club and its groups have to offer.

Every Escapees RV Club member is welcome at any of the events put on by the club, chapters, or lifestyle groups.

Each type of event has something different to offer and is geared towards different interests. Let’s take a closer look.

Escapade

Escapade is Escapees Annual National Rally and it’s the largest and most extensive gathering of the Escapees RV Club community.

This rally is a great way to learn more about the RV lifestyle or take a deep dive into your Escapees community! Escapade has a wide variety of educational and informational seminars, social gatherings, and nightly entertainment, all packed into 5 fun-filled days.

This RV rally has something for everyone young to old and in between and takes place each year in varying locations.

Head Out Program (HOPs)

The Escapees HOPs or Head Out Programs focus on bringing RVers to unique locations and special events where almost everything is taken care of for you. Head Out Program events are our highest level of service. We take care of everything from planning the itinerary, making your reservations, arranging meals, and setting up excursions – all you have to do is show up!

HOPs go to bucket-list worthy events like the Rose Parade, the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, cruises to Alaska, Cuba, and the Panama Canal, and much more.

Escapees Hangouts

Hangouts are events for active and adventurous RVers who like a laid-back pace and time to just “Hangout”.

These events are typically 5 to 10 days long at campgrounds with full or partial hookups and include a schedule of organized activities as well as plenty of free time and opportunities for socializing or spontaneous events.

Excursions and activities include things like hiking, kayaking, bicycling, brewery tours, National Park volunteering, wineries, foodie tours, local festivals, and much more.

You can also expect group campfires, happy hours, and potluck meals during your time at a Hangout event.

Xscapers Annual Bash

Xscapers Annual Bash is exactly what it sounds like: an annual 8-day party of active and adventurous RVers full of educational seminars, nightly entertainment and dance parties, games, social and happy hours, and much, much more.

The motto for Xscapers Annual Bash is “This ain’t your grandma’s RV rally” – and they mean it!

There’s something for everyone at Annual Bash from yoga and fitness classes, sports activities, kids activities, spontaneous hikes and outings, and nighttime parties and entertainment to laugh and dance the night away.

Xscapers Convergences

Xscapers Convergences are the heart of Xscapers. These are events that cater towards working-aged RVers providing education, social activities, and outdoor adventures.

Convergences are typically 5-10 day events that are usually dry camping with lightly structured schedules and activities scheduled outside of typical working or homeschooling hours.

You can expect unique activities like margarita throwdowns, grill-outs, and dance parties as well as off-roading trips, hiking, rafting, brewery or winery tours and more.

BOF Events

Each BOF group is different and some are more active than others. Some BOF groups have their own rallies or informal in-person meetups, while others only have meetups at club events like Escapade.

6.2. Get Connected Online

Of course, you don’t have to wait for an in-person RV rally, meetup, or event to get connected with your Escapees community. That’s what the internet is for!

Many Escapees members make friendships on the social media pages, groups, and forums that they continue in real life, often even meeting up to travel together and attend events together.

7. Escapees RV Club RVer Educational Programs and Resources

Escapees leads the industry in educating RVers with things like hands on programs, RV safety and educational programs, online RV courses, and online blogs, articles, webinars, and more.

Education is incredibly important to us here at Escapees.  Your RV is a sophisticated (and expensive) piece of equipment. And, the RV lifestyle is full of unique challenges that aren’t well understood or served by those outside of the industry and lifestyle.

So we’ve developed our educational programs, courses, and articles to help you along your entire journey of owning and traveling in an RV.

7.1. RVOU – RVers Online University

RVers Online University is our premiere online RV educational platform.

RV Foundations: This course teaches RV operations, safety, and maintenance for all types of RVs: towables and motorhomes. This course puts you in the driver’s seat of your own RV maintenance and operation so you can go from overwhelmed to confident when it comes to operating your RV, maintenance, towing, and more.

Learn to Live in an RV: Roadmap to Full Time RVing is exactly what it sounds like: a course that teaches you how to go full-time in an RV. From the planning and preparation stages like buying your RV, downsizing, etc, to addressing challenges full-time RVers face on the road, this course is your roadmap to full-time RV life.

As an Escapees member, you get discounts on course tuition – plus you can bundle both courses and save even more!

7.2. RVers Boot Camp

RVers Boot Camp is a 3-day in-person educational program taught by RV industry experts to help you learn how to maintain and operate your RV safely.

At RVers Boot Camp, you’ll learn about tire and weight safety, basic RV systems, RV fire and life safety, and so much more.

7.3. SmartWeigh

The Escapees SmartWeigh program is an RV educational program that provides critical RV weight safety and load management information in an accurate and usable format.

Our highly skilled technicians weigh your RV (and tow vehicle) wheel-by-wheel, both separately and together.

This process provides you with highly accurate weight information that goes wheel-by-wheel and axle-by-axle so you can identify and address any potential overloading issues immediately.

This is a weighing program, but it’s educational, too.

During your appointment you will have personal attention from your weighmaster, as well as receive a report with your weight information and tips for addressing any potential weight management issues.

7.4. Domicile Guides

Domicile is one of the most unique challenges facing full-time RVers today, and it’s one we’ve been helping RVers with for decades.

We know that every RVers needs are different and that when it comes to choosing a state for domicile, there are a lot of things to consider.

With ESCAPEES:HOME, in conjunction with our mail service, we provide you with a physical address that can be used to connect you with Texas, South Dakota, or Florida.

Through our in-depth domicile guides and our partnership with the legal team at East Texas Legal, you have access to a wealth of resources for all your domicile needs and questions.

You can access the domicile guides and resources here.

7.5. The Escapees Magazine

What began as a hand-cranked newsletter on a portable printer has now grown into what Escapees is today. The idea of sharing, educating, and entertaining lives on.

In addition to Member News in your email inbox (and Xscapers News if you identify as an Xscaper), members get our bi-monthly print publication: the Escapees magazine.

You can find previous issues of the Escapees magazine in your member dashboard under the “Benefits” tab at “ESCAPEES Magazine”.

8. The RVer Job Exchange

We created the RVer Job Exchange because we know that working on the road is no longer a rarity – it’s a rapidly growing segment of the RV lifestyle.

The rise of the internet and remote work options has made working from the road a possibility for more people than it ever has been before! And we know that RVers need a job platform specifically for them with jobs that fit with the RV lifestyle.

On the RVer Job Exchange, you’ll find jobs with flexible work options from jobs that are fully online with full-time, part-time, and freelance options, workamping opportunities, and more – including helping out your fellow RVers.

You can make a profile and apply to jobs or post your own jobs at RVerJobExchange.com

9. Learn More About Escapees RV Club, Our Founders, and What We Stand For

Joe and Kay Peterson founded Escapees RV Club in 1978, and we are still family-led today. The Club began as a 5-page newsletter printed on a hand-cranked portable printer and mailed to 164 founding members.

This newsletter paved the way for Escapees to become one of the largest and most recognized clubs for RV enthusiasts today, with over 70k members and growing.

What began as a newsletter to connect full-time RVers in a time before cell phones and the internet has grown into what we are today: a total support network for all RVers.

The Club was founded on the 4th of July, 1978 – and that’s no coincidence.

Joe and Kay valued the sense of freedom and independence of the RV life, just as many RV enthusiasts do today.

“Most people only get to enjoy the history and beauty of America during their vacations, but as an RVer this can be your daily life.”

Escapees RV Club: Then and Now

Escapees has and always will be freedom driven. We will always specialize in services that cater to your unique needs so you can live a successful and carefree RV lifestyle.

Not only do we accomplish this through our services and benefits like the Mail Service, Roadside Assistance, RV parking options, and more – but Escapees has long been involved in RVer advocacy, too.

From protecting full-time RVers right to vote, protecting the right to overnight parking options, battling unfair RV-specific taxes, and more, we go to bat for every RV enthusiast when it matters most.

You can learn more about our advocacy efforts here.
