Hangout Highlights

Enjoy one of the world's best fireworks extravaganzas!

Texas Rangers Hall of Fame, held each President’s Day Weekend, is the premier pyrotechnics event of the winter season. Fireworks manufacturers, show producers and pyrotechnic hobbyists come to Winter Blast from around the globe to light up the night sky over Lake Havasu City with fireworks shows and demonstrations.

Dixie Bell Boat Cruise

We’ll visit the Waco Mammoth National Monument to see the fossil remains of where huge Columbian mammoths got buried in the mud, still in the original spot in which they were discovered. This is still an active dig site where scientists are still uncovering new fossils.

Keurig Dr Pepper is America’s unique flavor and was created, manufactured and sold beginning in 1885 in Waco. Dr Pepper is the oldest major manufacturer ofd soft drink concentrates and syrups in the US. The Dr Pepper Museum is the only nonprofit museum in the country dedicated to the entire soft drink industry

Camping for the Waco Hangout will be at the Magnolia Rv Resort. Winter Blast Hangout will be at the Lake Havasu Rodeo Grounds.  This is the same location where the Xscapers hold their Annual Bash each January. Several hundred other RVs who are not part of Escapees, will also be camping at the Rodeo Grounds to enjoy the fireworks. Our Hangout spots will be grouped together close to the action!

Every member is welcome at all Escapees RV Club events and every activity is optional. With that said, the Waco Hangout is best suited for members who:

  • enjoy exploring in groups
  • can participate in activities all day during weekdays and weekends

If this event is not right for you, please check out another Hangout. For events designed specifically for working-age RVers, with most scheduled activities in the evenings and on weekends, try an Xscapers Convergence. Or, for more of an all-inclusive, guided-tour experience, you may prefer one of our Head-Out Programs (HOPs).

Pet Owners

Wandering Waco Hangout 2025 3

We love our pets and try to select pet-friendly activities and venues so your pet can come along. But, it’s not always possible. Several activities during this Hangout will require you to be away from your pet for the day.  We recommend making advanced care arrangements for your pet. Many Hangout attendees have used www.rover.com.
