Let’s slip on those bandanas like Willie and Waylon and get ready to ride around ‘Music City’! For this 7 night Hangout, we are combining two passions, music and motorcycles! By motorcycles, we mean all interstate/street legal wheels (motorcycle, trike, sidecar, road-licensed four wheeler). Bring your favorite bike for planned group rides throughout the week to enjoy flavors of Tennessee, like classic Southern dining and an optional Jack Daniels Distillery Tour. We’ll enjoy some ‘Music City’ adventures like the General Jackson Showboat and a Comedy Bus Tour. Interested in learning how to plan RV travel with a motorcycle? This Hangout offers educational talks on how to do it. So, let’s get ready to rev those engines like only Escapees know how!

Hangout Hosts Will & Lucinda Belden, Leaders of the Escapees ‘Twist Your Throttle’ BOF, look forward to meeting you!

Even if you prefer to stay behind the wheel of a car/truck, we’d love to have you join us, as we will have all the familiar Hangout community activities, and the Nashville & Natchez areas have plenty entertainment for everyone!

This Hangout is open to ALL Escapees, however extra provision has been made to encourage those who already travel with a motorcycle, three-or four-wheeler or who would like to learn more about how to do so.  During registration, be ready to check off what, if any, type of motorcycle each member of your group plans to bring and your current level of riding experience.

Hangout Highlights

Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum Often referred to as the “Smithsonian of country music,” this museum stands as a towering testament to the genre’s rich history and cultural significance. The extensive Objects Collection showcases the vintage guitars and banjos that have shaped the sound of country music through the decades. Artifacts of stage wear and personal clothing reflect the evolving trends and cultural shifts within the genre and society at large.

Natchez Trace Parkway Motorbikes on bridge

Natchez Trace Parkway A scenic group ride or drive along this historic route, offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature and history. The Trace was a significant travel corridor used by Native Americans, European settlers, soldiers, and traders for thousands of years.

A rest stop at the Natchez Hills Vineyard and Winery will offer some locally produced wine tastings.

Redneck Nashville Bus Tour A unique and hilariously entertaining way to explore the vibrant city of Nashville, blending comedy with culture and history. You’ll be treated to comedic commentary that promises to keep you entertained as you visit some of the city’s most iconic landmarks: Music Row, Printers Alley, The Honky Tonk Highway and the Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery.

General Jackson Showboat on River

General Jackson Showboat As you embark on this daytime cruise, you’re not just taking a trip across the water; you’re immersing yourself in the soul of Tennessee. In addition to a delectable southern meal, this voyage promises an auditory feast, through live performances of the “TENNESSEE LEGENDS” program; a heartfelt salute to the artists who have shaped the musical landscape not just of Tennessee, but of the world, all while enjoying the scenic beauty of a river cruise.

Every member is welcome at all Escapees RV Club events and every activity is optional. With that said, this Hangout is best suited for members who:

  • enjoy walking for several miles
  • can participate in activities during weekdays (traditional working/business hours)
  • have transportation if carpooling cannot be arranged
  • enjoy scenic drives up to 1.5 hours (don’t forget the return trip/drive too). We’ll make regular restroom & gas stops for filling up small motorcycle tanks
  • have a motorbike, trike or road-licensed four wheeler (optional) or interested in learning from others how best to travel with these vehicles
  • are comfortable being away from your rig for up to 7-10 hours during the day

For events designed specifically for working-age RVers, with most activities in the evenings and on weekends, try an Xscapers Convergence.

Or, for more of an all-inclusive, guided-tour experience, you may prefer one of our Head-Out Programs (HOPs).

Pet Owners

We love our pets and try to select pet-friendly activities and venues so your pet can come along. But, it’s not always possible. Several activities during this Hangout will require you to be away from your pet for the day.  We recommend making advanced care arrangements for your pet. Many Hangout attendees have used Rover.com.
