Escapees Head to Tennessee for 2022 Escapade 1

Escapees Head to Tennessee for 2022 Escapade

Event promises fun and education for the RVing community

Livingston, Texas- February 2022

Escapees RV Club’s annual RV rally, Escapade, takes place June 19-24 in Lebanon, Tennessee. Tickets go on sale February 2, 2022.

What makes this event so memorable? Every day is full of educational and social opportunities with fellow RVers and each evening serves up unique talent and entertainment for attendees to enjoy.

Escapade overflows with fun and friendship, interwoven with seminars, panel discussions, campsite chats, socials, activities, and so much more for RVers of all ages.

This year’s event promises great music from groups like Charlotte Pike, Cornfield Mafia, The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys, and Charlie’s Bad Habit, along with a talent show full of memorable performances from Escapade attendees. Attendees can pop into seminars each day throughout the week and learn about handy topics such as towing, domicile, solar power, boondocking tips, mobile internet, and plenty more.

What started as a small gathering of 24 families in 1979 has grown to host hundreds of rigs and thousands of members and visitors each year (though 2020 was an exception, as it was for many organizations). Last year’s “Together Again-” themed reunion was much-needed and thoroughly enjoyed by all, with many looking forward to reuniting with more of their community this year, too.

Seminars and the marketplace are great opportunities for companies to educate RVers about the purpose and value of their products, too, and how they can make the RVing experience safer and/or easier. Kidscapade ensures even the youngest RVers have an opportunity to spend time with others like them! While parents and grandparents are attending seminars and socials, the kids get to come together and play, work on projects, and learn from both their peers and the Kidscapade staff. Each day’s lessons and activities are often inspired by the local history of the area.

Escapees members are spread far and wide across North America, encouraging the club to seek out different locations each year for this can’t-miss event. Duane and Jean Mathes, Escapade Directors since 2017, are tasked with finding each year’s venue. “Lebanon, Tennessee appealed to us because of its close proximity to Nashville. Between endless music and rich history, our attendees will find plenty to see and do before and after Escapade. The Wilson County Fairgrounds will be a perfect venue for hosting the event.”

Travis and Melanie Carr, the club’s President and Vice-President, respectively, are equally excited to explore this part of the country. “We’re so thrilled Escapade is taking us towards the East to Tennessee this year! Not only will it be another wonderful time of gathering with fellow Escapees, but it will also be great to explore the local areas. One of the added benefits of Escapade is seeing new places along our travels to and from the event!”

Registration for the 2022 event is now open. Tickets and additional information can be found at https://escapade.escapees.com/. Interested sponsors can review available opportunities at https://escapade.escapees.com/escapade-sponsors/.
